Our projects team overhauled Madgex’s Brighton offices in 2014 with new chairs, meeting rooms and desks. Since then, we’ve supported their fantastic HR & administration team with specialist workplace assessments and ergonomic furniture supply.
We recently recommended a trial Ergotron sit-stand workstation to help with a senior member of the team with a back complaint. Impressed with the benefits of the option to sit and stand whilst working, the decision was made to offer Ergotron workstations to the entire team (including their homeworkers).

Our approach
To make the most of Madgex’s existing desks, we specified WorkFit-TL desk raisers to sit on-top of their bench desk systems.
Rather than rolling them out on every desk, every member of staff was surveyed to see if they would be happy with a sit-stand workstation. Sit stand working isn’t for everyone due to their job role and personal preferences, so we just supplied and installed what was necessary. For those that changed their minds down the line, we’ve been able to responsively supply them.
During the installation, we found that the Workfit TL didn’t suit people that have varifocal lenses as the screen needs to sit lower than usual to accommodate for the line of vision. We resolved this by trialling, and later installing, a WorkFit SR which has a greater level of adjustment.
